TOTAL F&#&^$G DISASTER!!!

I've taken as many contingencies under consideration as is practically possible. It's not easy (or economical) to double up every system on every tank. I'd love to double up on every tank but, can anyone here place double pumps on over 100 tanks?

I figure the only additional step I can take is to add an extension to my small tank blower line and drop 2 400gal sponge filters to act as backup. This may work if I construct eggcrate cages over the sponges to prevent plecos from eating the sponges down to nothing.

Local pet-sitters have refused working in my hatchery. I have no family in this state. And, my neighbors are afraid of these monsters. Ergo...no one to watch over the fish when I'm away (which is not often to begin with).

The odds of a pump blowing on the first of the 5 days you where away are probably close to 1 in a million you have nothing to feel bad about or explain to us. I am very sorry for your loss.

I figure (man, it hurts just typing it) the loss at $3000.00+ (fish and shipping). Now, I don't feel too good. That's almost 2 weeks worth of take-home pay.
