Jack Dempsey so aggresive had to be separated
from all other fish. Since most fish are social, this is like solitary for life.I don't beleve fish have a concept of death. Which is more curel being alone or death?

Sounds like he doesn't want company. He will be happy now with his own territory.

Being alone AND placed within line of sight of a picture of Dennis Kucinich.

I had an African cichlid that had to be separated after it decided it was more important than my "cool" fish and began to get pushy after sharing and playing nicely with the others. But I think it enjoyed being alone so for 20 minutes a day, as punishment I took it out of the water and verbally berated and wagged a stern finger at it.

The dempsey has killed five fish, Is the legal fight fighting? Just kidding, But I put my money on him.

An eye for and eye I say, if you could use the space for something better either trade him in or dispose of him.

A jack dempsey isn't going to suffer from being alone, I'm not sure what the problem is.

The death penatly for doing something that comes naturally to a fish is extremely cruel. Isolation wont effect him. Jack Dempsey's arent fish that crave other friends.

I agree.....If he wanted fishy friends he wouldnt have killed the others......

Isolation or give him to somebody with a tank of similarly aggressive fish...

Most likely a larger tank is needed in order to have tankmates with this JD.

What size is the dempsey? What size is the tank it is now in? What are the type and size of the 5 fish that it has already killed?
