Anythings better than death. Aggresive is just what cichlids are . Isolate him it wont bother him

Tank size 45 gal fish killed, Pink oscar same size,Fuelleborni same size, two labidochromis smaller,Dragon fish twice size, alge eater smaller. Pulled JD to other tank before the auratus was next on the list. all fish about 2in long.
if a fish is aggressive twords other fish it doesn't like them so why would being alone be a sad life it would be an eazy life
Give the JD a good diet and clean water, and he will be happy in isolation for the rest of his life. Several aquarium fish (especially cichlids) take patience when it comes to trying to find the right home. To kill a fish for displaying it's natural behaviors would be down right dumb.
