Do you guys use screen protectors on your touch screens? My key pad phones would always scratch so I use them out of habit, but if touch screens are meant to be touched I'm wondering if they are more durable. I keep nothing in my pocket with my phone other than chapstick but my pockets get dirty on occasion however its not like the phone is bouncing around in a purse or grinding against keys in some knuckleheads skinny jeans so I was wondering if I'm wasting my time.

When I got my Iphone 4 a front and back screen protector was put on immediatly to protect it from being scratched.

Since the days i've had my iphone 3, i've never used any protectors on my phone and to date, no scratches either...

In all honesty, i think those protectors a lot of the time are just a gimmick to make more money if you ask me...

Depends on what kind of phone you're using. If you have an android, there's no reason, since they use Gorilla Glass which is VERY hard to break or scratch. IPhones, yes, get a protector.

And no matter what, always get a case!

I think those touchscreens are designed to be scratch resistant. My 4 year old boy has been roughing up my ipod touch for 2 years now and I haven't noticed any scratches on it lately. I tried the protector on my phone once and had to remove it because my finger doesn't slide as smooth without it. With today's technology, gadgets would be outdated quicker than the screens getting scratched.

Thanks everyone I have a Samsung windows phone and technical reviews are good about the glass, I think I'm gonna try no protector figure 1 scratch won't be too bad and I can go back to protectors if I feel it's needed.

These new smart phones are expensive. They're basically, small computers. I use an Otterbox case on my iPhone 4. Otterbox cases are very durable and they include a screen protector.
