Or maybe she's got headache!!! :grinyes:

. . . .Because it would be normal to pet people? . . .

When did petting become illegal?

Haven't you ever heard that song . . .

She's my baby
She's my pet
I fell in love
On the night we met . . .

In school they lectured us about the dangers of petting!
Which of course prompted a lot of it in the hallways.

I guess people have changed. :headshake

It really depends on the temperment. Ive seen arowana swim right into a cupped hand over and over. They dont have a hand associated to feeding since they were fed live.

Same guy has a goonch that he can pickup with his hand

Some fish I touch. Some I move without a net. Just grab them or scoop them up.
Bettas, guppies and mollies are good for this. Sometimes the Oscar, but I've caught him in a bin twice, and will have to do it twice more soon. He's getting pretty tame.

Big Plecos I just grab by the head and hold their fins closed. I hate getting them stuck in a net, and they do it every time. I can always grab them much easier than netting.

I touched my big clown Loach by accident trying to clean up around her cave. She flipped out and scratched herself but luckily it healed up as I changed the water every other day to keep the water pristine.

My rotten O Brick gets his pats and tickles on a regular basis. But some days he isn't interested so I leave him be. I'll pat him gently with an index finger on his head then tickle his top fin and tail. I may tickle his chin. Usually if he swims towards me and looks 'up' that's the signal he wants attention. If another fish gets close he'll chase them away then come back for more strokes.

My severum Chip comes up for a fin tickle occasionally but not much.

Forget everything I said about Felix the Oscar being tame.
Felix struggled like crazy just when I thought he'd be cool.
He was scratched up pretty bad in the move.

I'll have to move him again tomorrow. ;(
