tough/hardy semi aggressive fish

I think what everyone is trying to say is that just think about the 80 gallon for now. Throw everything else out the window. Chances are, you won't be getting a thousand gallon tank for a while, probably a few years at least. So focus on what you currently have access to and worry about the larger tank later. You just need to calm down because chances are, you are going to change your mind a lot before you decide on a stock for a 1000 gallon tank. For now, I say just put an Oscar and maybe a pleco in the 80 gallon and enjoy that. When your ready to buy the larger tank, start a build thread and people will gladly suggest stock for you.

Exactly this is what this site is about fish and its for the people with all of there interests to come and socialize since i barely know anybody where I live who even cares about fish the only people who do are the people at the aquarium stores but I cant talk to them all the time so I come here.

Your questions are trolling questions.
Do some research yourself and you will be more satisfied with your results.
Use google and stop asking people to do it for you.

Kid if it bothers you than go to a different thread I dont care about you dont like it just go talk to someone in the land of the corn if you dont want to talk to on this thread. If you dont have anything nice to say then dont say anything at all.

Yes mother.
Btw there are plenty of members in the Bay Area. I see why you haven't met any it them.

Ya hardy har har now can someone answer my question its one simple question which one datnoid or nicaragua cichlid?

If you never kept dats. I wouldnt bother. Why cause there a headache.. Plus your choices are just.....

You can search among countless threads on mfk and like everyone else said. GOOGLE. Plus there are a lot of good websites to look up info on each species of fish. Unless its newly described or RARE

Anyways Exoticgreen there isnt very much info on mixing species thats why I come here because theres only liveaquaria,animal-world and aquarium domain and a few other knowledgble sites but not all have info on mixing certain species thats why I come here or on other forums is because you can ask people with experience and know which species to mix. Also I like the forum becaues predatory fish are my passion it used to be mantises but they died to soon like a year or as soon as couple months so now Im into fish just like my uncle amnd I dont plan on switching interests anytime soon.

I agree with most of whats been said here, just get an Oscar for your 80G and call it a day... otherwise, if you want more than one fish, maybe you could consider going with a planted / heavily aquascaped tank and put some smaller puffer species in it?

As for the your dream tank and stocking... while its great to have big dreams, wait until you are actually ready to build said big tank before asking so many questions... Since if you constantly ask questions the way you are now with no real direction, and are still a good few years away from owning this 1000G tank, you may find that you are just turning knowledgeable members off from answering your threads...

P.S. This is nothing against you personally, just a heads up, since i've seen members like you come and go a few times already in the few short years i've been on these boards..

Ok thanks fat homer as I said before though I ask questions cus of my ocd,Because it bothers me over time so I just ask them but your right I need to get that tank from my uncle and make it into an oscar tank. But ive been keeping mantises for over 3 years I stuck that to that interest like glue unitll all the mantises started passing away and I was tired of all the deaths so I found predatory fish and it spawned my inerest like with the mantises but with fish. I like asking questions I cant find anywhere else I just want to hear what the experts say and what is best because There arent very many meetings for predatory fish or anything in the bay area at least I havent heard of anything like that.

^ maybe you should ask your LFS' if they know of any fish clubs in your area? Being that you are in the US there must be at least a few around? Having some actual people to talk and shop fish with you can really benefit any fish keeper...

If there isnt one around you locally, maybe you can try and start one based on predatory fish?
