If Mozaic is a common name for Humerosa and they only reach 18"+, Then how is it
that Brent was selling a 28" Mozaic? Or does Mozaic a generic term covering
several different species of rays? Sorry for the derail Keepin.

ha ha, i tried to make that point in the freshwater stingray profile (sticky) and my post got deleted.

if that is the same ray, then mine is not a mozaic....lol

I think mozaic is a term used like mantilla. Both of those words translate into "we have no idea what they are but they look similar" in there foreign tongue. I would call Brent's a dumerilli and your's a humerosa if I owned them.

don't humerosa, have rough skin though? that i what aqualog says i think.
this seems to have pretty smooth skin.

I don't know about that, I know I have kept motoros with both smooth and really rough skin. So I don't know if that can be used as a way to ID or not.

My guess is an unidentified ray, native to Peru.
