I'm 2 months into keeping my flowerhorn, and I'm following a lot of other's setups (alone, and a very minimally decorated tank). I can't help but feel my fish gets bored.

I put some plastic plants in, and it just kept uprooting them. Made a small cave from rocks, never went inside. Today I saw him/her jumping towards the top of my glass hood. Literally jumping the 1-2 inches between the water level and the lid. I only noticed it because I heard the small thuds that were made when it hit them. The back 3" of the lid were exposed, but it has never went near there. I put some plastic to cover it up just in case, and it is on pretty secure. When he/she isn't asleep, they are constantly on the move. I do notice they'll tend to dig a lot. I usually move the sand back every now and then.

So, do any of you other flowerhorn owners have some sort of decor or "toy" to keep your flowerhorn busy from time to time?

I just have a couple bio balls and pop scrubbers floating around the tank and my fh plays with them for hours lol.

I put some giant danios in with my male when he is not with his female to keep him busy. He seems to enjoy chasing them around the tank, eventually he catches them though lol.
