track eel

ok got one for ya, today i could not find him. Looked all ove the floor,the back the tank,every were. :irked: I taped all opening at the top so there was no were for him to go but the out-take of the canister filter. Well,i went ahead and gave the tank a real good cleaning looking for the little booger the whole time. Well he was not in the canister.:irked: So,as i was putting every thing back in and on the tank,i took my HOB filter off and dumped the water out and dang if the thing was not swiming around in the tub of the HOB filter.:eek: :screwy: Well,now im not sure how to fix this,so i just filled the tank just shy of the filter edge so it has a little water fall.
Now after all that,i droped in a few baby mollies and BAM BAM BAM, he hit every one of them. If i was to just feed him baby mollis,would this be bad?
 
Nothing wrong with baby mollies just be careful if you get feeder fish from lfs. Ich and other disease. To stop him from hiding in your filter keep the water level low and make sure ALL OPEN HOLES ON YOUR HOOD IS CLOSED! 80% of all eel death are from them escaping. The will hide in the substrate with just there nose sticking out. Here is a link to a really good site about your eel. Enjoy :D
