Well tecnicly there genes live on thousands of captive bred animals , mostly hibrids of this species and the cayman brack iguana and the cuban iguana. Not ideal but passable. You guys that live on the states are able to get hibrid babies of this spec relatively cheap(about 200 dollars each) at lest comparatively whit the european price which is about 2000 euro a baby. But yes this is one of the most endangered lizards in the world. They are very rare and threatn in the wild ,and pure captives outside cayman are rare

Just think of the genetic patrimony that was lost whit this deathsi have no pity on people who do these kinds of things.i had the cops called on me in highschool for beating a kid who did something to a dog(to bad to talk).lucky the chief was a family friend....and needless to say i was not the one arrested.still got in trouble with my parents but i had and still today have no remorse for what i did.im not at all PETA'd out but their is no reason for people to do this.they really need help
well thats what I said earlier but it normally pertains to domestic or common animals.When they go out of the way to target something like this it takes it to a different level.Like the gorillas if you read it,the murders were done out of an attack on their guardians.It was an attempt to stir them away and frighten them off.Something like these lizards being killed had to be something deeper.Im not saying for sure but it just seems that way to me.NyJets51;1774406; said:

i wouldnt have beat him, but a nice solid kick to get him to stop and then restrain (or tie up) him till the cops showed up would have done the trick
