Take a filter from the 55 and put it on the 75. That's where your bacteria is.

This.

Bacteria is in the filter, there's a marginal amount on all your other gear but nowhere near as much as in your canister and possibly your substrate.

Transfer as much as you can, filter gravel the works. All your BB is living in there.

This is what I do.

Remove old tank water and put in new tank, as much as 1/2 or more.
Top off new tank with fresh water and treat with Prime.
Move filters from old tank to new keeping the media wet.
Move substrate to new tank.
Move Decor to new tank.

Thanks... I just did what you guys told me... I just finished transferring my tank... One last question, Can I put immediately all ok my fish?

I've done what everyone has mentioned on here already and it's worked rather well. move as much as you can from the old tank to the new one and you should be good to go. What I didn't notice anyone say yet was the try and keep the water temps close so as to not kill the bacteria when your adding additional water to top off the tank.
