I thought that the first one was excellent, and I am really looking forward to this one.

here's what I've read on the movie so far...and most of it I think was in the trivia on the IMDB site for the first movie so I guess take it all with a grain of salt....
My biggest issues with the first movie were:
1) Devastator was the combination of the constructicons, not a tank---this was supposedly actually an error. the character was really the Brawn character which was a destructicon tank. I believe it was the director who preferred the name devastator because it sounded more formidable than brawn but the writers didn't like the idea because they wanted to use the devastator character in a future film so the name actually was changed back and the tank was the brawn character, but they forgot to change the subtitles, which is why he was still called devastator
2) megatron was a gun in the cartoon, not a space ship....they changed this because they wanted to keep some form of realism and not have any transformers that transform into something much smaller or much larger than the robot form. so, they didn't want the huge robot megatron turning into a small gun that starscream could hold like in the cartoons. that's why they changed his alternate mode to a space ship. that's also why they didn't have Soundwave in the first movie. the small cd player character was originally going to be soundwave but they didn't want to screw that character up so they changed it to Fury I believe was it's name.
they're supposed to be using Soundwave in the sequel and they're going to do the character right, but more up to date like the others. and yes, scorpinok is still out there and not sure if anyone noticed, but so is Barricade...the police car. I'm not sure if they'll still be able to do Devastator...he was originally going to be in the sequel but they killed off Bonecrusher in the first one. They'd have to bring him back to life, which they could do, to have Devastator because Bonecrusher was the leader of the contructicons.
Also, I hated that they killed off Jazz...he was Optimus' second in command for a long time in the cartoon and that's even how Optimus introduced him in the movie, as his second in command. Jazz should have been the second toughest behind Optimus, or maybe tied with Ironhide. Bumblebee should have been the smallest of the autobots in the movie but he was the same size as the others which did but me a little. lol
other than that I'm not sure which new autobots or decepticons will be in the sequel....actually I think I did read somewhere that Grimlock, the leader of the dinobots, might be in it but he's the only one.
I'm totally pumped about this movie...I loved the first one even with the few minor problems i had with it. I can't wait.

I read somewhere that Bay is purposely leaking false plots online to keep the real plot on the down-low. I believe he was quoted on this.
