Stripey, most likely a mono/Azul hybrid, from 5 inches to 15... He's in the back in this first picture.

Both great looking bass! Never seen a orino with gold dots like that on its top fin. Why do you assume the other is a azul cross ???? Maybe it's a oddball mono

My thought on it has to do with the secondary vertical bars between the three main bars. Are there pics of monos with the secondary bars?

I've seen them with more bars but not close like that. Most of the time they are more spread down the body. A lot great cichla pics from locals on Instagram.
