I was just taking some pictures of my cat, and he stirred up the gravel a bit - I just noticed very small 1/3 inch transparent "eels" - they wiggle, and float around suspended in the water. I never noticed them before - do they sound familiar to any of you? No picture, but the description is pretty unique.

Even with regular weekly water changes?

I really do not feed that tank much at all - since there's only one catfish, and one gar in it, and only a thin covering of gravel.

The catfish gets one large chunk of (fish/meat/squid, etc) every other day, and the gar gets 4 or 5 jumbo krill (freeze dried) every other day, also, so that surprises me.

Good to hear they are harmless!
