Hey, yeah this is a lame ass question. I have these translucent little trees that are attached to alot of surfaces in my tank. Ive read about these things before and I remember that they can actually sting fish. Can someone please tell me their name so I can treat it? Thanks.

Definitely hydra, they can kill and eat tiny fry, other than that they are just annoying, gouramis tend to leat them. They can be killed with a hydrogen peroxide treatment but I don't remember how strong the mix needs to be. You can also reduce thier numbers by removeng them with an algae scouring pad, just hold it under scalding water for a few seconds between each swipe.
