were any of them 20"?

the bat air pump is good in some ways but bad in others

if you live in a cold climate then the bat air pump will pump cold air into the bag making the water go cold faster than if you are keeping it warm with a Styrofoam box

15 inches is pretty big to be transported in a bag, I've seen a 18 inch Aro break through a bag during transport. If your fish was smaller, then a bag would suffice, but at 15 inches a big rubber maid container would be optimal.

i have transported 22 inch Asian aros in plastic bags with no problems

aros jump and thrash around when you move them the plastic bag gives it a cushion when it jumps

They were on the road for 2-3 hours. They were placed in LFS thick plastic bags.

Here are the most important considerations for me:

1. Use bags, don't use tubs, tubs with air stones are bad news.
2. First and most important step: drain the water in the tub to as little as twice the height of the fish. This will minimize the momentum of the fish to thrash and put up a fight.
3. Try to tie the corners of the plastic bag as there is a risk that the fish will get "trapped" in the corner of the bag and panic or drown.

Will post pix of the release in my thread soon.
