Im exited because im going home for the weekend and there is a large LFS there in Greensboro Aquamains.(greenville doesnt have a lfs:irked:).

I was wanting to pick up a pair of convicts, and its a 2 and a half to 3 hour trip back to Greenville. Will they be fine in the bag that long? what other technique could i use?

go to walmart and get one of thoughts snap on topper ware containers, put them in there...every 30mins scoop a cup a water and poor it back in the container. Or you can get a battery powered air pump.

2 gal container.... just fill it 1/2.

Bag them separately,2/3 air 1/3 water lay the bag on its side making sure the bag is big enough for the fish to swim upright.Theyll be fine.Use bag buddies if you can but not vital.

The biggest problem with a transport of this length IMO is not oxygen its temperature, just insulate the bag. Newspaper works but I usually just take a cooler and place the bag in there...

just get a really big bag! thats what the lfs did for me. the bags held like 2 gal when full lol and he filled it up like 1/4 with water. I had a 12" rope in one and 2.5" royal pleco in the other. They were in the bag about 2 hours and were really active once they were put in the tank. Or you could get an airrator from somewhere. i got a cheap battery powered one for like 10 bucks from BassPro Shops and im going to use that when i take everyone home for christmas

yeah they would be fine i had a fish in the bag from the lfs for like 4hours and it was fine and dandy

I've always put them in coolers and never had a problem
