I am going to Florida in September. My cousin has been trying to get rid of a GT and a FH he has had awile. There 8-10 inches. My question is if i hook up an air pump in a large cooler or something with a lid will they live on the road to PA. Driving straight through without stopping. I would love to take them but i figure flying them would cost a bundle.

There shouldn't be any problem since it will be in September. Just keep extra batteries as a backup. And don't feed the fish for two days prior to the trip (to reduce waste production). Also, get the tank water as close to tap conditions as possible so that they can be put in new water for the trip.

Thanks guys i feel a little more comfortable about bringing them here now.Ill have to get some pics of there trip..
