So, I was moving with my 4" GT (about 8 hrs). I put him in a nice 3 gal bucket before I loaded up the aquarium (one of the last items) and let him sit. About 20 min later I was ready to leave and was about to load him up.

Looked in the bucket...Why does he look so pale? Why is he breathing so hard? He's only been in there for 20 min!?!?

"Oh Crap!, forgot to treat the tap water!!"

I dug through my fish box and dumped some AquaSafe in, and the GT pulled through no prob and arrived safely in his next home 8 hrs later...Couldn't believe it, he sat in the chlorine and who knows what else for all that time, what a hardy fish.

When I transport fish, I fill the container with tank water. Problem solved.

It happens, even experienced keepers can forget under stress, sometimes they even forget water treatments during water changes.
