anybody have any special tips/tricks to transporting a tank? I currently have a 125 gallon and transporting that was a task with my suv, but i am in talks to buy a 220 gallon tank now, and am trying to figure out how i should transport it (considering renting a u haul for a few hours since the tank is 72x24x30 and comes with a stand) Thanks!

Ask if they have suction cup handles you can rent. Make handling a huge heavy box much easier. And get twice as many people as you think you will need

Best trick i have found so far has been the forearm lifting straps. Me and my cousin carried my 500 gallon all by ourselves

Suction cup grippers work wonders and overall man power. Also the more planning to make it easy and the less up and down moving will make it the easiest on you.

I used the wooden furniture dollies to move my 125 by my self. The tank was emptied the day before and you can move the tank and stand together. I've done it like this three times. I was able to push the tank still on the stand into the U-Haul. I've also used a friends truck and was able to slide the tank off of the stand into the bed of the truck by myself.

haha ok the dolly idea is nice! I might try that. as of now, i have 3 other strong guys that are going to help me. Also going to rent a u haul too because i cant take all the seats out of my tahoe and my trailblazer does not have enough room in the back
