SH's can't handle the climate over here... as the water freeze in winter it wont be able to breath air from the surface. And the only channa that can handle cold water for a long period is argus. All other snakeheads are tropical living species. Well... some live in cooler water a short period of the year, subtropic species, such as aurantimaculata, bleheri and so on.

british airways will allow animals as far as i remember , but there is zero chance of it going in your backpack lol, any fish will need to be put into the hold as cargo , it is indeed legal to take out of india and into sweeden.

you need to contact ba and ask what proceedures must be followed to bring a tropical fish home with you , and ensure you follow them , you also need to ring customs or border control in sweden and ask them what if any paperwork they req. it can be done but the proceedure for each country is diferant so you must check .

good luck - cheers col

Transport snakeheads in a warm box with a very, very, tight fitting lid and maybe ventilation holes and shallow water.

I'm planning a new trip to India..Anyway, India is the original home of snakeheads and I really want to take some snakehead species with me when I'm travelling back home.
Snakeheads are uncommon here and if you ever find a snakehead here, they'll probably be VERY expensive. Especially now when the price for them has reached a more expensive level.

1. Is it possible?
2. Do I need any type of license?
3. Otherwise how?
4. I alway travel with British Airways, is it possible for them to let me travel with a living fish in my bagpack ? lol
