I was thinking that there isn't a pleco in the world worth the trouble you went through. I was so wrong. That guy is nice.

Hey thanks for the kind words CHOMPERS. I must admit it really was just a spontaneous adventure. we like to do things like that just to keep life fresh, ya know. We probably could've gotten him cheaper if I got one shipped but noone can take that experience from us so I say it was worth it! And I got to meet another MFK member. BTW shout out to Koop for my new addition. We named him Ohio! We could'nt of named him that if we got him shipped!:grinno:

Disclaimer: I know we're :screwy: so you dont have to tell me!!

In the end thats all we have is our memories and experience's. so you can never put a price on them. :headbang2 :headbang2:headbang2:headbang2:headbang2:headbang2:headbang2

Thank you to everyone making me not feel so:screwy:! As far as the travel went the seller packed him in the cooler in the pic. He had a portable airstone on his leg of the trip. When I got there the water temp felt perfect to the touch. I had the converter and airstone on my end. It took 3.5 hrs to get there and 5 hrs to get home. The weather sucked. We saw a jackknifed tractor trailer on the way there. Got stuck in traffic jam on the way home. 45min to go 4 mi.!!! When I got home We were exhausted but I forced myself to acclimate real slow because the temp got fairly low by the time we got there. Anyway we had him eating shrimp pellets, catfish wafers, algae wafers, zuchini, and sinking cichlid gold within 2 days!! This thing is a garbage can!! The seller had much worse luck on his way home. He's OK but his truck didnt fair so well. I feel horrible.

:ROFL:and I'm sure he will "decorate" the tank with "results" from such a great diet!...

:ROFL:FOR SURE!!! I am in the process of taking the sand out as we speak! Not only for the ease of cleaning, but I woke up the other day with a 7-8" mound of sand on one side of the tank. I am afraid he's gonna kick the sand up into my filters and burn the pumps up.

And I still say my 4 1/2" Royal is worse than this guy!

I've got this 13" bully common that can move 25 lbs of sand in about 5 minutes, and does at least once a day. He likes to rearange the decor quite often...
Luckily I have overflows and the sand doesn't get to the pump...looks like a 120 gallon snow globe sometimes...:grinno:

hahahaha very nice.. ohio may not know it but im sure he enjoyed the car ride much more than being shiped
