Treating ich with an African knifefish

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Yes i just did exactly what the bottle says and when your done dosing after the 4 days keep an eye on him and make sure you vaccum the substrate good and see how he is after the 4 days I usually dose a week or two extra to make sure it's fully gone as well

Happy to report no staining! I still see some of the ich on my African leaf fish and African knife fish but it seems to be clearing up.

So I've treated for 5 days now. 4 days half dosage of Ich X and day 5 I did the full dosage. There still seems to be some ich on the African leaf fish.

Should I leave the tank alone today and see how things look tomorrow with the ich?

I see a dot on the tail and it's fin do not look like ich but has some whitish color.

Should I increase temp from 82?

Tank has a fire eel, electric blue acara, blue dolphin moori, leaf fish, African knifefish, 3 syno petricola catfish, 4 black skirt tetras, Texas Cichlid, and a rocket gar.
No need to increase temps.

I would also do a good gravel vac and if you have any carbon in your filtration remove it if you didn't already know

No carbon never used it in my life ha. I've been vacuuming the sand etc. I got too busy yesterday and couldn't do a water change/dose. I'll get back to it today. Damn Ich sucks!

Lol yeah ich does for sure man hope everything is back to normal for you soon
