I was going to try the Parasite guard fizzing tablets and add them to a bucket of water. How long can/should I leave my 2" flowerhorn in the bucket with an air pump?

I don't know if I'd do that.... It's something you'd want to add to the tank. The reason is what about the parasites in the tank. Kind of would have a reverse effect there. You'd cure him only to put him back in it...

No one else in my main tank is having any problems, just this little guy thats why I wanted to treat him before I added em.
You could leave him in the bucket indefinitely if you have a heater and air pump...glass aquariums are for our benefit not the fish's. I've used parasite guard before and had good luck with it. Worked better than expensive meds actually.
