treatment for lockfin?

Jerzy, could you please answer some of the questions asked by the others? I'd rather be reading complete details to see what I am missing here.

Kzimmerman is right though. When I read this yesterday, I had an inkling flukes may somehow be involved or at least any ectoparasites do. I'd get the salt and prazi in there. Both are very mild treatments and should be conducted to every new fish during quarantine process to keep invisible ectoparasites at bay. There are instructions for dosing prazi and salt in "List of Treatments and Contraindications" and "Freshwater Disease Guide-Ich" sticky threads.

oh yea, i have a high ammonia spike! what can i do? should i remove all my fish? or what, massive water change or something? my nitrites at 20 ppm, my ph is around 7.8-7.8 ppm, but my ammonia is at 5!! what do i do?

No need to remove the fish. Do a large water change. What test kit have you been using? Ammonia at 5 with pH nearly 8 is ridiculous to me and should have eliminated all your fish in a short time.

Big water changes, frequently. Keep Ammonia as low as possible. Try and get your hands on some seeded media and place it in your filter. Above all, figure out why this happened. Are you overstocked? Overfeeding? Overcleaning? Underfiltered? Something's interrupted the cycle.

sorry, i have been busy so when i hit reply it takes me about a half an hour to hit send cause of all the running i have to do. i think that justonemoretank is right with his first accusation saying that ammonia has something to do with it because of how high it is. but i will do the prazi/salt treatments for them as well just incase (that is if it doesn't harm the fish that don't actually need it)

All your fish in contact with the sick one will need it. Once ectoparasites are suspected, then all other fish it has contaminated should also be treated.

ok, i have been doing lots of water changes, but for some reason it seems the ammonia gets higher every time i complete the change. i have been using the tetra test kit, and my ph was really high a while ago, but it has come down. i meant to say 7.6-7.8, i am using 2 emperor 400's. my stocking is in my signature. the biggest is a 9-10" O and the smallest is a 3" Jd. i have some live plants in it, and some fake plants in it. i took these decor and my large log cave out of my previously owned tanks during cycling to maybe colonize the bacteria necessary, my fish are extremely stressed as shown by lack of movement and color, and i am getting frustrated that all my attempts to drop the ammonia has failed.

What's the Ammonia level in your source water?

in my 55 which i got the cave and some fake plants is .1ppm, and my 29 which i got the real plants is at 0ppm

I mean your tap water or wherever you get your water from. However, if you're using the same water in other tanks and have no ammonia there, then this must be something particular to that tank, so I guess it doesn't apply, anyway.
