Honestly, the "shaking" thing is quite normal. All my cichlids do that. I keep a 10 inch midas alone in a 55g tank and whenever i put my finger near the glass he would do that shaking thing. Seems like he's warning me that that's his territory. Another example.. was my breeding pair of sevrums last year. The male would do the "shaking" thing to warn off other fish in ther nest.

Other than that i think its perfectly normal and your GT is just being it self.

By Shaking I think I know what your talking about. It is diferent than Shaking/ displaying. I had an EBJD that shook for about a month before he starting swimming erratically then he died. I have also had fish that display for territory and and for Girls:naughty:. However I know what your talking about. I never really found out what the problem was but the fish did die and it is a problem. I thought it might have been some sort of parasite that killed him. However someone else may know better what exactly is going on. good luck. hope it is just a display!
