He's all of two inches in a 30 growing out in 80degrees two zebras one albino one red he has his own side of the tank that he claims. he's not stressed by any of that if u read the question I asked if he could be stressd by going from hospital to his growout I know someone had to see this before pls help I just had t put down one of my tanks due to layoffs I'm stressed enough about this I can not lose my favorite fish too

I had a similar issue with my 7" JD male but after monitoring it for 2-3 months I worked out he does it to turn his gf on and would generally do it over a patch of clean glass on the base which they dug out. I was really worried initially because it was fairly violent shaking from side to side. He would also throw rocks at the glass while doing it.

Defiantly need to see a video in order to see with yours.

alright I'll try at least two people have said it's probly normal so a little weight is off my shoulder I gotta see if my bud will let me do it on his comp he's doing it as much but could anyone clue me in how I would do that? I can upload a bid from my camera right?

3 Questions...is the fish eating?..has his/her color faded?..is he diggin' and spitting rocks?

Twitching like a seziure is common in most agressive cichlids can mean 2 things:
1- Hey baby check me out
2- This is my space get out of it now or suffer my wraith

A 30 gal. tank is not that big even for a juvi GT w/ 2 other fish in it vying for territory
if he didn't twitch in isolation probably because there where no other fish to twitch at. Digging or clearing of an area in your tank suggests he makin' a nest he''ll twitch to warn other fish to stay away.
If he's having convulsions he's probably not eating and is lathargic in that case save the zebras and throw him out his insides are screwed.

no he(I think it's a he) eating pretty good I know he needs more than that he had his own thirty but I had to shut that down on cost of electricity food filters water stuff like that here in two months I'm moving and purchasing at least a 75 with my tax returns my current apartment manager will only let me have one twenty gal and I exceed that by 30gs already with their tank and hospital so he will recorve that needed room here in not too long till then he's fine trust me I know alot on cichlids not everything by no means but agression virtually none I really don't want to rid of him I treated him for parasites and fungus he got bloat from eating a fish almost his size LOL I thought it was just a fat stomach but after a week I realized he bloat I think that's were he got it anyway but also he's actually getting more of a terror look now but he's back to normal now any other ideas of illnesses? Besides what I treated for I can maybe try again like I said he's my fabv and Im pretty sure he's cured of that just for a piece of mind if someone gives me a good idea I'll treat for it
