Why do people keep saying this... Im not into fish at all and I have talked to people I know that say us wholesalers are offering leos for 1000 range. If the wholesalers have access to them so does the general public... Go ask your local fish stores to inquire with their wholesalers.. Im sure if you leave a deposit they will order u a ray. a few vendors on mfk have them available. I recently saw a trio sell for 1500 each that means the wholesalers in the country have them as this person did not import them himself. Your local fish store will not order a 1000 dollar ray unless u ask them to and leave a deposit etc

I THINK THESE PREDICT BLACK RAYS WILL BE UNDER 1K BY MARCH. IVE SEEN THE RECENT LIST THAT WERE FROM 08 QUOTA. 09 QUOTAS COMING SOON. I DONT CARE IF BLACK RAYS GET DOWN TO 600 BUCKS. THEY AINT GONNA BE FLYING OFF THE SHELVES LIKE PEOPLE THINK. NOT IN THIS ECONOMY. YES, THERE WILL BE SEVERAL HUNDRED SOLD AT FIRST. We can all make assumptions all day long, All I know is that 3 years ago when I started breeding leopoldi pups were being sold for 500 dollars each from breeders in Europe, I never expected them to cost over $ 1500 US each for CB pups. I always figured $ 800 US was going to be the average price when things calmed down and breeders starting producing enough rays to meet demand. I am sure the price will stabilize.
Your example is all that great either though. It should be more like, a person sitting on their couch and not going to a freaking beer factory to get beer DIRECTLY unless you're willing to go look for one. To use your example would be like, someone not bothering to fish out a leo from their fish tank and saying its impossible to get.
