i saw my first peacock bass at an LFS down the street.. was a big female C. Ocellaris. she was BEAUTIFUL. I knew then that i wanted to keep them, but i had to research them to see if i could do it successfully. i was so afraid that i was going to get a fish that was going to end up like my (now ex)hubby's piranha (2ft long fish in a 55 gallon tank).
so i got on the internet and read everything i could, and every search i did came up with at least one of Scott's videos if not more. And i decided that my little 150 gallon tank was just a starting point and i would go BIGGER. lol.
so i dove in.. head first. it's 3 years later.. i have some AWESOME cichla and i'm still fascinated by them and i think i always will be.

I still hold DMaCK in high regard. I have him on my myspace page and try to check in on his new ventures from time to time. But no doubt he was the OG in this game to me and I will always look to him for inspiration. SEVEN P's and a year later in October and I am Sic for Cichla.

Disels cichla were amazing, but i definately think that R1 is now the new disel, his cichla are amazing!

Diesel, along with RED1, Trust, B.Scott to name a few are ones of a differen't level than I. While I am fortunate to have a nice collection of PBASS I am by far not at their level...as of yet
These guys have been in the PBASS game for years. I'm still still a rookie when it comes to PBass and still learning. Everyone will always be compared to someone in th ehobby and even in life, but let's not forget we are, are own individuals.
i would love to see joeys tank in person to see the actual size and gerth on those bad boys..What size tank are they in???
