I sorta thought so. I haven't been able to find any flex pvc in my area but when / if I do I will be redoing some plumbing.

I also found a pretty good temporary fix to use in the mean time. ;)

Funny.... I usually use this....

Flexible tubing can help... Is there any restriction on the intake? An elbow or anything? When a pump barely starts to caviate it makes a wahwahwah sound...

I am not sure what it could be. *shrugs*

The sound appears to be coming from the sump. Somewhat like a megaphone. I might try dialing back one of the ball valves and see what that does.

You know, it might have something to do with the head height of the tanks as well. Looks like I might need to start working on redoing the plumbing. That might help as well.

if the noise sounds like the pump is cavatateing you mite try a check valve on the discharge side also.

I'm really glad you brought this up ;)

also another thought is if you are direct connected to the sump and the sump is resonating. you coulddisconnect it and go over the top and in use a check vavle on the bottom of the pickup and a Tee with a ball vavle on the top for the U and prime the pump from the check to the pump through the ball vavle.
