Ok lets compile a list since this does come up from time to time.

- Turning off the aquarium light seems to help an aro be more comfortable (specially if its a newly aquired aro ).

-I noticed that some picky aros are more likely to eat facing one direction than another. If your aro eats at that direction, then it helps if you "drop" the food when the aro is swimming towards that direction rather than the opposite.

Cmon there are tons more.... post your tips!

If you notice long enuff, sometimes you'll see that your arowana will only accepts floating food. When the food sinks it will ignore the food.

So when you place its food perhaps you could place if slowly into the water so that it floates?

Example of foods that would float a while.....superworms or mealworms?

how long has she been starving herself? what's your feeding routine and the type of food you feed?

what's the age of the aro? :)

can someone give me some ****in tips!!!

my aro wont eat and all she does is get pissed off at some of my fish

must be a big ass dose of testostorone or something

starve and try this product from dennerle... its called s7... its a trace element. Used it for my aros to improve appetite. Highly recommended for self imposed starvation.

we feed ours live goldfish and minnows, but he also eats plankton when the parrots get feed everyday...

My 10" silver only wouldn't eat for the first couple of days after I got him. The first day he tasted some krill but would always spit it out. The second day he tasted a couple of floating pellets, but spit them out just the same. Then yesterday (day 3) he greedily gobbled up the krill. Although I had to stand at one end of the tank and toss them into the other end in order for him to eat.
