  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
hmmm, i dont know man. I'm more weary of crickets than i am of feeders.

Crickets are incredibly dirty disgusting little insects. trust me.

earthworms always works for me. make sure you gut it so that the juices flow out.

Try to isolate the aro away from aggressive eaters. This will make the aro more shy to lunge for the food.

Heres a tip from neoprodigy.. soak your food with this:

well i called my dads house and he said she eat, thank god, i was getting worried.

that water change i did must have did the trick

anyways, wes, she keeps everyone in check, queen of the tank she is :headbang2 no fish in their dares to step out of line, or they get the a charge.

is theri a difference between entice and garlic guard? becaue i have a big bottle of garlic guard, i soak and fish go nutz over the stuff.

yesterday i soaked some cocktail shrimp in it, and all my fish went berzerk! i was gunna give a shrimp to one of my columbian cats and my flowerhorn came up and pulled it out from my hand

Glad to know the queen is eating well. Entice and Garlic are similar
in way because they are both appetite boosters. Other than that, i believe
they are composed of different ingredients.

I have a newly acquired aro that took me a while to eat too. It took about 2 weeks before it started eating and close to 3 before it started acting like a normal aro. Shipping a large aro is always hard. Im just happy everything is back to normal.

starve the aro for a week that is the best solution.i also use RIDALL AROWANA SPECIAL from Singapore.RIDALL is like a shotgun...kills and stops all the problem in ur aro

My 10" silver only wouldn't eat for the first couple of days after I got him. The first day he tasted some krill but would always spit it out. The second day he tasted a couple of floating pellets, but spit them out just the same. Then yesterday (day 3) he greedily gobbled up the krill. Although I had to stand at one end of the tank and toss them into the other end in order for him to eat.

I got my 4 inch golden (asian) aro to eat MP by sticking a small piece on the glass above the water line and letting him jump to get it - they do this in the wild. It's very helpful this way cos the tankmates don't get it and it doesn't foul up the water. He can now jump over 4" to get at it (he's about 5 - 6").

I've also read that adding aloe vera extract to the water can improve an aro's appetite and also helps keeping its slime coat healthy. Here are links of how to make fresh and cooked aloe vera juice:

Hope it helps!
