Tried a lily pond this year...

My cardiac surgery put a slight delay on the larger pond construction. I may hire a contractor to level out the area I want to build the pond.
Until then, here are a few pics of the pond taken this afternoon. A few of the Wakin goldfish have reached the 7-8" mark.

A little overcast today but, still wanted to get a pic of this nice Colorado Hardy that just bloomed from a root I planted only a month ago.

I was worried that the rhizome died on the mutant water lily. We just found this bloom this morning.

1st lily of the season. I still have yet to feed them this year.

Last year, we planted 3 Louisiana swamp iris tubers. We got our 1st blooms this year.

Any updates? Did you end up stocking the High Fins? What climate zone are yall in around there?

We've only rarely seen the hi-fins since introducing them last year. I'm hoping they become bolder with size and age. Our climate zone is 8 here in southern AL.
Added some water hyacinth. They didn't do much until I fertilized them a few days ago. Then, these all bloomed the same morning.
