Balony. I have three triggers together in a community tank and they bother no one. Not even my cleaner shrimp. It depends what type of trigger.

your melichthys triggers are the most peacefull ones..they can be together..when I was speakning about tiggers i meant triggers with trigger personality, such as clowns, undulatus, picassos et al..

not to say your's aren't triggers, ok..:)

how big do melichthys's get? aka what tank size?
seriuosly.... filefish, dude! way simpler

They are the wimpiest triggers you can get and look to only be about 6 inches or so. Wait till they are full grown before trying to claim success.

C'mon! you cant tell me you don't know the oscar meyer weiner song!

you can keep tangs with triggers , without any problem... adding the tangs all together (as adding tangs slowly will make too hard to handle their own agressiveness..., choose fast and bold species as clown tang, hippo , sailfin, yellow etc) ... and add triggers of different sizes , and make some rock arrangements to creat some kind of shelter to them... your tank space would be fine for some species as , clown , ****** , picasso, blue jaw... I would not try undulatus , queen, blueline and titan due excessive agressive behavior... don't forget to protect any powerhead or heater cord with some plastic grid or net to prevent any problem due a trigger bit... In my 60 gal tank , I keep a clown trigger (4 inch) a ****** (1 inch) , clown tang (1 inch) , hippo tang (4 inch) , red sea sailfin(4 inch) , mac's angel (4 inch) , a betta marine (2 inches)and 2 neon goby... and the less agressive fishes in this tanks are the triggers...angels and tangs feeds much more agressive way (spilling water) so a trigger comunity with proper shelter would be fine for you... tangs will help triggers to do not fight with each other...

What type of triggers do you plan on mixing.? The only problem i have ever had with mixing triggers.. even in small tanks was two 8 inch pineapple..

Can you find me someone that has multiple full grown triggers??
I wouldnt try it as they are fine as juvies but when they become mature and more solitary they get alot more aggressive. I wouldnt even expect it to work in a 180 once they get to around a foot.
i have 3 triggers with a whole mix of other fish. No problems.

i have several triggers in my 150g tank and a few clowns, batfish, tangs, angels, etc and none of them fight with each other.by i must say they should be the same size and introduced to the tank at the sametime.
