Trimac cichlid X Jaguar cichlid hybrids breeding with a Cuban Cichlid

They are 1000% Fertile. There are a few that are infertile but most of them are clear with a little black dot inside and you can see them just a growing away!! The female flowerhorn is starting to act more like a flowerhorn. She doesn't let the Cuban get to close to the eggs but she doesn't chase her off when she comes over to the eggs and she chases off All the others in the tank.The cuban female just swims a little bit away from the eggs but is always looking to chase away a smaller fish going over to the eggs . She tried to chase away a bigger fish(jagXtrimac males brother) last night and was stuck in a nasty lip lock and was being pulled around all over but then the father trimacXjag put a stop to that fight and ripped into his brother.So as it looks my guy is fertile and the eggs will hatch just fine!!!Good times:headbang2videos are on the way!!!

you can see the bad ones(white) but as you can see most of them are fertile!!!SO one more time :headbang2!!!

I have a bunch of wigglers. The female flowerhorn has muscled out the Cuban from the mothering duties but still allows her to swim above the fry and fan them a little. But the female flowerhorn will gently push the cuban away.. not attacking her like she attacks the others in the tank.The male just keeps on protecting the territory and just a few times he's looked at the fry. he's just stared at the fry...no fanning... just stared.But at least he hasn't killed them. Like some psycho males have done in the past to the babies and mothers.So so far Good Times!!!:D!!!

the:cry: Cuban mother just watching the babies now. the female flowerhorn will not let her near the babies what -so-ever!!Male is still nice too the Cuban.The flowerhorn female is nice to her when she swims out to chase the others but just not letting her get anywhere near the babies!!!

at least the eggs havent been eaten. that would be pretty horrible, im surprised that pleco hasnt gotten at them. are you going to separate the fry when they become free swimming?
 
The wigglers are free swimmers now!!!! There are so many babies. Im going to let the mother raise them for a bit.Shes a good mother and the male is a good father so far. he is picking up food and spitting it out above the babies just like the female is doing. He watched her for a while doing it and he started to take care of the babies to.He even spits out the massivore delight pellets for the babies.None of my other parents have ever did that.I have them seperated off fromthe rest of the tankmates now.The poor female cuban keeps on staring at the fry and chasing off the other fish too close to the divider. I'll have pics and videos up soon.
