trimac or festae?

I ofcourse got to go with the trimac. Those eyes, awsome spots, and coloration and patterns on their fins are just awsome. Plus, I really love it when they have the tear drop under the eye. I really love festae, but I will always go with a good Trimac.
 
Trimacs get the little nug between the forhead and the mouth as adults. But if one doesnt have that, I'd go for the Trimac. If the Trimac have the nug, I'd go for the Festae. But I think Trimacs are way cooler in personality. Festaes are timid towards human. Trimacs are more personable. I've kept a few of each in the past.

BOTH ARE KILLERS. Never leave them home alone with weaker tank mates they dont like.
 
im goung trimac, just got my first one and he has quickly started to win me over and there colours are definately under rated
 
The answer to this question all depends on what you mean by "which is best?" Best in what way? For color, I'd go with a female Festae. For something that grows largest, a male Festae is your best bet. For the fish with the best personality, I don't think Festae come close to Trimacs. Trimacs are also a bit hardier IME.
 
Both my Trimac were killed due to them constantly starting fights they couldn't back up. They're def not good community fish ime. I really like them though, one day I may try again. Like everyone said, Trimac are naturally very personable whereas my only Festae male is. And he only got that way when he got bigger. They female couldn't care less if I'm at the tank or not. She just swims around doing her own thing as if I'm not there....unless I have krill, her favorite. Then it's like I'm her best friend all of a sudden. Overall I'm very happy with my Festae and wouldn't trade them for an equal size and age pair of Trimacs.
 
Festae, no contest. A female Festae colours will blow your mind.
