Low grade Flowerhorn, not "Three spot Trimac".
Please explain why you think it is a flowerhorn.

That is what I thought, but not 100%. If it is a low grade FH, then it would look more trimac.

Very confusing statement. I get it now that I've read it a few times. You must explain why you think a low-grade flowerhorn looks like a trimac.

Jeff has mistakingly sold flowerhorns as trimacs before, but he made it right after he did it. This fish don't look like the ones of "mistaken" identity like he sold before. I don't see any "pearls" like the ones he sold before and that last picture screams trimac to me. That whole thing about "a trimac has to have three spots" doesn't hold up at all. The three spots is a common characteristic of the trimac, but many true trimacs don't have it, including mine.

Really beautiful male! He has real potential, keep him well fed :) as you are doing now.

..do we have to do this every time a trimac is posted..? You could have very well said nice fish if you thought it was a hybrid -- the thread was that of progression, and showing off the fish, not a question on the purity of the fish!

Nice Trimac!Mine from Bluegrass aquatics looks like it.
