You could put some Giant Danios in if you like... since you're willing to accept they will eventually get eaten...

Yea I was thinking of doing that I accept that they will die eventually. In the past my giant danios always seem to die during water changes I am guessing my water is going through a spike because I am kicking all the nasty stuff up and they seem to just keel over every time I change the water its never happened with any other dithers I have ever had. Kinda weird :screwy: Oh yea have you gone to speed street any in charlotte this year?

My trimac kills everything. He would kill the gravel if he could. He is like the Anton Chigurg of fish.

You have a 5 inch trimac in a 30" tank, and won't be able to upgrade for another 2 months. Adding more fish is a bad idea.

Yea I was just toying with the idea it would be nice to see him fight something other than the pleco, which I have to admit is pretty entertaining since my pleco really does fight him. I wish I knew what kind it was I bought it at petsmart but it didn't look like any pleco there or one that I had scene before. But it sure is aggressive and its a eating machine.

hes doing really well, hes about 8 months now and still losing his teeth. Hes gotten into the mode where hes chewing on everything (especially my shoes) and hes become very fresh with everyone he thinks he can get away with anything. But in all hes doing pretty well.

Wow that's one crazy Trimac! lol

Not going to make ti to Speed Street this year... I'm out of town this week...

While I agree that the Trimac needs a larger tank as soon as possible... i don't think a few small 'dithers' will cramp him any more than he already is... and the dithers that are being considered add very little waste to the system...

That being said, I will say that keeping waste build up down is very important to your Trimacs long term health... so keep up on those water changes...

Haha yea hes a pretty crazy trimac, almost acts like a dog sometimes ;).

Yes I hope to try and find at least a 75 gallon tank by the first week of August at the latest. Im going to take him up to my university and lucky for me they dont have a tank size restriction like most colleges do.

Yea the dither idea sounded good for like the first 2 hours now I think I have decided against it for the most part scooping out dead fish in the morning is always a pain.
