Trimac ?

Sorry my first post not sure if I did this rite. My question is about what size will the trimac start showing its red behind gill plates. The trimac I have is a inch and a half and not showing any red yet. Would post pictures but not sure how to do it yet. I love reading everything I can on the site but never have made a post. Hope this is ok to put on here. Also would like to see some pictures of some juvenile trimacs if u could post some

Welcome aboard:)

I personally don't have any experience with Trimac Cichlids but this is just a snippet and more threads can be found using the search bar upper top left just type in Trimac and enjoy until others with experience chime in.
 
I think there are several factors that play a role in how fast they develop and display their remarkable color. Feeding, water conditions, mood, and the parents they came from. 1.5 inches maybe be a bit early.
