Trimar?

not discus...but bought a gold nugget and also a BGK which came through in excellent condition, packed up really well and delivered b4 10 am!!!! it usually 12 but mine came early. i've heard other ppl use them aswell on other forums, and they all have used them again. so yep, def recommend them to anyone.do not use wildwoods though. gt a gold nugget from them and it came through with internal bacteria, and a hollow tummy which i thought was gonna die and gave me loads of worry.
there's loads of specialists around. chances are you'd get more choice and a better discus for your money than buying from a regular shop.
but that said, trimar are good for mail order fish. havent ever seen their discus though......

They have a few discus and to be honest with you it was the price of them that both attracted and concerned me. £15 for the cheapest one and I've never seen one sold in a shop under £25.
My partner is planning on buying some fish for his tank from trimar(... thought I'd sneak a couple of fish into his order,lol).
I was just a bit worried coz I've never liked buying something if I can't see it in front of me. Especially fish!

yeah i know, their prices are cheap!!! i think coz they are fairly new they are looking towards customer loyalty (well thats what my bf told me, he has a business online) rather than making profits right now. but i say take advantage. and they have a guaranteed live arrival. so even if it does arrive dead you'll still get your money back.
yes, was thinking of either : keep the 400L for a species only tank, such as zebra plecs (wanted to do that ages ago) or get some discus (but now i'm not so sure because its best if you do water changes everyday? and i dont have time for that right now.) I was also thinking I could have some tinfoil barbs with some silver dollars and some of my favourite plecs in there, like a small community tank. my tanks have never been full of brightly coloured fish though, i have always kept: common plecs, gold nugget, BGK, bala sharks - the only nice coloured fish i had was a siamese fighter fish called Rainbow 
and he died after two years. Oh and i had two gold coloured gouramies as well but then one killed the other and at that time i didn't realise i could g o on the internet to research fish so i didn't realise he had anchor worms and he died as well

They do grow quite big though.We had a pair, maybe a year ago.They grew to about 10 inches before they died and that wasn't of old age. The local water supply had extra chemicals flushed through it nearly six months ago.We only found that out after loosing all the fish in our large tank to poisoning. Bit of a nightmare really!! I was lucky, I never changed the water in mine.
Anyway, I would definitely try tinfoils again, but maybe try the albino strain. They have a gold tinge to them. Personally I would avoid silver dollars. They are a nightmare when they get big - very nervous, fleeing from one end of the tank to the other.
May I suggest looking at cigar sharks/pink tailed barbs(leptobarbus hoevenii). They are getting more common, and also grow quite large but are more laid back than silver dollars. They also get along beautifully with tinfoils.

If you want to add a touch of colour, I would also recommend severums. Similar in appearance to discus when large,but with a lot less hassle.
