Trip To Chinatown( LOAD WARNING)

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Wow! Simply wow! Watch out NY I'm so going to plan a trip there. I'm used to pet stores that have a bunch of 20 gallon tanks (with the occasional exception) That is nuts!

Oh great...now the secret is out! Sure send more people to this shops and there will be nothing left when I hit up the shops. :irked:  :naughty:

Do yourself a favor..dont' even bother to shop at 38. The guy is a punk. A wanna be HK triad schmoe. There was a nick name for him..Slick D**k with all that grease in his hair.   He got locked up years ago for transporting asian aros. He had the ballz to brag about a super red and was asking 25K for it.

Pacific is okay...they've been around quite a while and have a nice sw collection. Win aqua within the last 15 years or so, friendly people. The owner is quite knowledgable about aro's. I think he told me years ago that he used to breed aro's back in his country. Probably still does, now only if there was a way to get them here legally.:( The oldest shop is Aquastar. The original shop was a few stores down from Vinnie's clam bar.

There used to be a few more LFS but they closed up because they weren't "hobbyists" but just money grubbers. Aside from that, it was a "front".

thanks for the info though, i didn't know any of that.

i need to plan a trip to hit every shop in nyc..that would be fun..and i'd probably have to bring 4 memory cards for the camera, lol.

No problem. The other shops at least you can haggle with them to get a better deal. :naughty:

What street are they on? I drove thu Canal St. that way but I couldn't find any stores. I am going next weekend to try again.

There's only 1 pet store in Chinatown in Los Angeles. It's not even that great!:(
