if you want excellent beaches go south like boracay, palawan, and cebu islands..you can make travel arrangements from your hotel or travel agency..enjoy your stay in the PI

I grew up in a town North of Naga in a neighboring province. That town used to be along the way to Naga. But last time I was there, a couple of years ago, there's a new highway that bypasses our province altogether when driving to Naga from Manila, which cuts travel time by many hours. I know very little about the places on the new highway. Sorry, can't help you much. All I can suggest is to avoid driving at night. Very dangerous journey at night due to the winding roads in many places and no lights to guide you along the way except your own.

yeh i saw the little trouble they had recently but from wot i understand its not that out of the ordinary. It did **** the missus up a bit tho cos we are staying in Makati when we first arrive so that was a bit of fun( she isnt as travelled as myself ). cant wait to get out there now we are actually going over to look at a possible permenant move someday if all goes well!!
