I set-up a 55 for african cichlids. I have 4 juvenile Tropheus duboisii in my 55 right now about 1 to 1.5 inches. what else can I keep in there with them I was thinking geting 4 compriseps(dont know if i spelled it right)

Maybe you should stick with Tanganyikans. Maybe Calvus, Bricardi, or Leleupi?

got 3 gold head compressiceps:naughty:........so thats 4 Tropheus and 3 gold head compressiceps. Is that my limit on the amount of fish I can put in a 55. Anything else you guys can recommend??

compressiceps is tanganyika ..lol
well you could get some gobys cause they are vegeterians too.. and ocupy the lower part of the tank :)
Im very aware of that. I was letting him know that he should stick with tanganyikans and not try to mix with malawis.

4 Dubosi's will become 1 very soon. Troph's are VERY aggressive to others of their kind when mature. You may not see it now, but you will. Also Comps or Calvus are predators (very small ones lol) but they eat totally diff stuff than Troph's. One is a meat eater and the other a veggi, Trophs that eat meat products will get bloat and such. Troph's are generally kept best as 1 fish or a colony. Thats all from my experience, what happens with your fish could be different and I wish you luck. Tangs are awesome fish for sure.

they got 3 more tropheus at the lfs should I get them?? That would make 7 in my tank. I got to hurry though cuz they have them for only 10 dollars each. When i bought my 4 they had like 12 now they only have 3.

Its a petland discounts store and they have no knowledgeble workers there. I never buy fish from them only food but when i saw those fish at those prices I had to jump on it but do you think I should get the last three they have??
