I would probably get them, and then if I you can nail down the variant (if one) of the fish you bought order more.

they are Tropheus duboisii I went to the lfs and the dummy sold one so I only got 2 so that makes 6 tropheus and 3 comps. If I can get them to order more I will but Im not gonna buy more anywhere else. At other lfs around me there asing 20 to 30 dollars for juveniles but imma try to get petland to order at least 4 more for me................Will they eat lettuce, should I feed it every day??
i would get six more tropheus and call it a day. with only four the aggression in there with eachother will be out of control. get one or get ten is the rule of thumb i've always followed
Yeah they will eat lettuce (romaine) but NLS and good spirilina flakes is great. Just make sure to avoid beefheart, bloodworms and that kind of thing with tropheus.

I cant find any duboisi anywhere else but 1 place and they want 30 dollars for one. I paid 10 dollars for 1 so im going to see that lfs can order more. There doing fine right now but the comps seem scared and they hide all day I wanna get `6 more duboisi to make it 12.
the altolamprologus have always been a shy fish.
and with altos and tropheus you should be very careful with your water parameters
altos are very sensitive to large water changes and tropheus need exelent water conditions and if not they bloat
not my experience but have know that the duboisi is the more resistent species of tropheus

a lot of the people I know who keep these two, do not put them together... and when I get my trophus they will not be in the same tank as the comps...
