Just wanted to see some updates on the trops that came in last May. Coming up on a year soon, I wanted to see where they are at now, so please update on them!

Mine is 15" and his rapid growth has slowed down dramatically as of now. He is eating shrimp and Omega One pellets. living in a 180 gallon tank.

Of the Five obtained from this group three are in current possession and two are on extended loan. These fish are in addition to the Four I have from the first Shark Aquarium importation.

I have detailed photos but these are the most recent. Fish are around 14 inches..

very nice richard...i have just been curious as to how they have all been progressing. ours seems to be in the ball park of yours...so i guess were doing ok.

...also does the snout on ours seem different than the rest? it seems very sloped to me.

Slanting of the nose could be from an injury when it was young or genetic for all we know. None of mine show this trait but one from the initial shipment is quite dwarfed and odd looking..

It clearly does not affect the fish so I would not be concerned about it.

no concerns, i was just curious. after looking more closely at yours and a few others, it clearly looked different. i would guess it to be a birth deffect, but who really knows? he is obviously eating fine and seems unaffected by it.
