im not really worried.....he keeps to his side of the tank, and he doesnt bother anyone, and is very well fed...i mostly feed him flakes and pellets and the occasional cricket

well how about you stuff the oscar with pellets and the occasional crickets until it doesn't want to eat anymore and then toss some of the feeders in. This way the oscar will be much more less attentive about the feeder and won't go after it. Thus leaving the feeder available to the peacock basses :)

personally i would shy away from feeders from the start, when i use to keep pbass i fed frozen and freeze dried blood worms and krill and they devoured it, they eventually started taking pellets everynow and then, fed sinking carnivore etc

and if you want more peaceful bass for sure dont feed feeders, ive seen bass that will contiinually beg and just splash and ram the glass, not to sure that would make the rest of the household happy
