a while back after (praziing) for a month my female marble i bought, I put her in my main tank. I lost her about two weeks later. I then noticed some redish/brown worms in my tank. Thought they were internal parasites, prazied my main tank, still saw them, rays were breeding and eating fine but i noticed I never saw any poo any more... I saw them push out some clear clowdy liquid instead. I knew I was in trouble. I read up on panacure, and dosed accordingly to 4 of my rays.... not my pregnant female. The reason I didnt wait was because i was worried about causing complications to the other females pregnancys if i waited to dose down the line. Well **** hit the fan. none of my rays are eating. My pregnant female that is due in july shows very very faint movement if any. And both of my leos now have thier spots shifting.

what I think happened. when i dosed with panacure I injected them into worms. when i dropped it in the water it could have come out of the worm a little. Also I think that when I dosed them it killed all the internal parasites as i saw lots of stuff the next few days, thinking alright its working! I think the panacure actually killed off some of my benifical bacteria, as my tank started to smell, and when i came home from work one day all three of my motoros stomachs were red and thier eyes were covered by some wierd coating. I think it sent my tank into a cycle. I imidiatly did a water change (this was 3 days after doing a waterchange and dosing). Ever sence I have been doing 50% water changes daily and have added biospirta. I am keeping it warm and dark. I added salt once but I have decided to just keep up on the waterchanges.
ANY HELP would be apriciated, im just hoping its not to late for all my rays.....

i didnt feed them at all yesterday or today yet, I think ill try and feed them tommorow. My male leo is getting more active but the others still just sit around...

Panacur is mostly Fenbendazole. Tough stuff at the best of times.
If you look at the side-effects for its use with other animals you might not want to use it with your rays again.......side effects include lack of appetite ( anorexia) .
I probably sound like a scratched record, I hope you'll excuse me, but...for less than the cost of your dead marble, let alone the meds , all the anxiety etc, you could have purchased a microscope and done a simple fecal squash mount and identified the parasite ( if there was one) and treated ( or not) for the exact problem.
Instead you have taken the shotgun approach and now you are paying the price of friendly fire. :(
IDBT
Identify Disease Before Treatment.
Trust me, I know how you are feeling, I have also found out the hard way that "IDBT" are words to live by. Knowing is so much more calming than guessing when there is a problem.
OK, so what to do....
If I were you I would continue with large frequent w/c's (with aged water!!!...important!!!) . This is seriously the very best treatment anyone can do. don;t try to feed too much. Stop adding anything to the tank. You could also add a filter with clean carbon for a few days. Temperature could be 80f. lights low but not off and wait ( but don't watch too much! LOL)
SomeTimes the best thing we can do for our fish's health ( and our own) is " WALK AWAY FROM THE TANK"
:)

sorry man......hope everyone else is okay

she is in the freezer for now, one of my female motoros might be joining her soon... she is starting to curl

Have you test to see if you have a trace of ammonia ? if your tank is going thru a mini cycle, you'd be able to notice a trace of ammonia.

You can try to 4x dose of prime to detoxify ammonia and nitrite in the mean time.

I am sorry about your leo...

Jesus. WTF is going on? BAD week for raykeepers.

We lost my only proven male breeder in shipping complications earlier this week.

I just got a message from Jim, he had a power outage with catastrophic results.

Now you too? IF there's anyhting I can do don't hesitate to get a hold of me.
