thanks guys,
I threw out my test kits a while ago, 3 days after treatment i noticed something covering the eyes of my rays. Thats when i started doing water changes. The wierd thing was that even the ones that wernt treated had problems as well. The rays started to lose there slime coating, and barely moving.
Ill be back running again once I move out of my parents house, give me like 6 months

So if you did not test your water, do you think it was a amonia/nitrite problem? Could you smell ammonia?

yea i could def smell something, which is why i started doing water changes, and stoped the feedings

Smell = Dying bio? The stuff definetly has a stank to it.

Whatever it was..... I hope you use it as motivation to bounce back....

Just don't beat yourself up. Shiat happens no matter who you are. Been a tough month for raykeepers.... That's for sure. No matter how bad crap gets it could be worse. There's someone out there that's worse off.

Chin up!

how big is the tank this happened in.If the bio died the fish inside would live if the water didnt go bad.maybe the medication??
I think prazi is very strong stuff.i dumped it into a container with blackworms and it killed them in seconds.emagine what happens inside the rays gutts. Its a good test for everybody to try.put some leaches or blackworms into a container with a bit of water add a capfull of prazi and watch them burn quickly.

how is this a test rays are vertebrates and leaches and blackworms are invertebrates. medications effect them very differently.

Sorry to hear about your rays. That sucks. I'll be picking up my first two this weekend. There's one thing for certain I see is there are alot of people that are there for you on this site.
