I would say that if you have good filtration then I GUESS you'll be alright.

O's are messy, especially as they get bigger - and they grow fast! My JD's are growing at the same rate as a snail racing a chetah... and as for the catfish, I don't know anything about them.

BUT...having said that, your tank size is on the smaller size... I'd say give it a few months and see how it all goes. Keep up with the w/c and just keep testing your water.

Thanks, the filtration is a Tetratec EX2400, 2600 litres per hour and I do 50% WC weekly. The Silver Dollars are displaying mating patterns and zooming around the tank rubbing all over each other in the corners of the tank so the water quality seems fine so far.

its a beautiful tank. i agree that the GS needs to go. and i would just leave it at that until someday maybe you can get a bigger tank-then add more. how do the two oscars get along with eachother? they are quite beautiful btw-

Very nice tank. I'd let the GS go. He's disrupting the neighborhood.

Thanks, just taken the GS to my LFS and they guy looked chuffed with it.

The Oscars are inseparable, they swim side by side all day long and the Tiger often defends the smaller common Oscar when there are signs of trouble, when I dangle the prawns in the Tiger always takes them first and when he's had a couple the other one comes up for some too.

I agree. Also it is looking female so it won't be as colorful

Guess it depends on the GS mine is the puss of the tank. My geo kicks his ars so far, but I'm sure that will change. Nice looking tank btw.....seems like some of the sweetest tanks come from across the pond on this forum.

nice Os! and yeah it was def for the best to get rid of the GT if it was the one causing all the problems, and if it was female like everyone said then it wouldnt look as pretty anyways, the cats you dont have to worry about as they dont get big and stay pretty hidden if you want to add more fish i would do either one more pictus cat or another cat that stays small (in the relative sense lol) like the jaguar cat as they look pretty sweet but yeah as for cichlids i think you should stick with the stock you have and they should be good in that tank, and maybe your Os are a pair:naughty: its really hard to find a pair of Os but that would be sweet if you got lucky with them:popcorn:
