Hey guys Im trying to take some pics to post up cause Ive been a member for a few months now and I have no pics up. when I try to take pics they always come out blury or my fish scatter any tips?

what kind of camera? tank pics are much harder with a point & shoot because of shutter lag. you can try using the flash but take the pic at an angle or you'll get a reflection. dslr's are the best choice.

I have a minolta maxxum 400 si with an af 0.5m/1.6 ft Im not the best with cams so ya help please.

most of my pics are phone camera ones, but on occasion ill borrow my girlfriends camera. ive found if I set the focus to the flower, as opposed to auto focus, i get better results. but im no photographer by any means.

it's kind of hard to explain if you know nothing about photography basics. if your camera has manual controls then try a higher iso setting. what you are looking for is a higher shutter speed to freeze the movement. try to wait til the fish stops moving. it's digital so don't be afraid to take lots of shots. I might take 200-300 shots to get a handful that are nice. do you have the manual? it will explain how to freeze action.

I find my best pics (focus wise) are when I keep the button half pushed in. If I dont auto-focus goes crazy making me loose the shot.

+1 for phone pics :P

Try taking them at night with only the aquarium lights on and no flash, then it is just a case of being patient and waiting for the shot!
